Mirrored star sculpture: Galactic Reflections

The frame is 4-gauge copper wire, bent into a curved Icosa framework and wrapped in HVAC aluminum tape. Over it go 8-inch acrylic convex mirrors, Blu-ray discs, glass mirrors and glass rhinestones, so no part of the surface is left bare.

Individually addressable LEDs run throughout the framework and answer to music, so after dark the piece lights in time with the sound around it.

Galactic Reflections is best suited to a covered space. In the footage and the photograph here it hangs from a copper tripod, turning at golden hour and suspended over a lawn.
