The Fractal MirrorSphyr was made for Wynn Palace, a five-star hotel and casino in Macau, China, as the central feature of the room it hangs in. It is a MirrorSphyr built in two layers, 12 ft tall and 7 ft wide.
In the room.
The photographs show it hanging beneath a bronze palm-frond canopy at the centre of the hotel’s dining room, under a glass dome, with the tables set around it.
It is not a rental: the piece was made for this room.
Commissioning a piece like it.
A commission begins with the life of the site: who arrives, where they pause, how the light moves, and what materials already hold the room. Scale, placement and material direction are then shaped into a concept and a written scope for review, and fabrication, logistics, installation and care planning are resolved with the specialists the project needs.
